The 2nd semester has begun here at DHS and Students and Faculty are working hard. The underclassmen are preparing for the STARR tests, which are right around the corner, while the Seniors are working on Senior folders and applying for College. We are looking forward to a great finish to another fabulous year.
The high school math-science team is having a Yankee Candle fundraiser to raise money for their trip to San Antonio in March to compete in the TMSCA state meet. The team has represented our district and town well in years past and plan to do so again this year. This meet is one of the highlights of their competition year.

The 2015 Senior Program will be Thursday, February 19th, at 6:00 in the Auditorium. Who's Who Senior Awards will be presented as well as many other accolades. Please make plans to attend.
DAINGERFIELD HIGH SCHOOL'S TEACHER AND STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Mrs. Dunn, pictured between two of her students, graduated in 2003 from New Diana. She then went to UT Tyler where she graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a minor in social studies. She earned her Master’s degree from Concordia University (Irvine CA) in Coaching and Athletic Administration. She has been with Daingerfield High School three of her seven total years of teaching and coaching. Married to Dustin Dunn for five years, they are proud of their blended family which includes a 1 year old son name Dakota and a 14 year old son name Dylan. Congratulations Mrs. Deanna Dunn.
Cassidy is a Junior this year and involved in many school activities including FFA, Band, Math Team, Spanish Club, and National Honor Society. She is currently working on a saxophone solo for UIL Solo and Ensemble contest. Her plans after graduation are to attend a University of her choice where she will pursue studies in pre-med with the goal of one day becoming a Doctor of Optometry. Congratulations Cassidy Watkins!
The TSI test will be offered every Monday from now on. You can sign up in the Counselor’s office. The cost of each test is $6 and you pay on the day of the test. This test can also be taken on the NTCC campus at any time for the same price.
Juniors & Seniors interested in taking the ACT or SAT college placement test, come by the Counselor’s office to get information about test dates and to see if you qualify for a Fee Waiver#
