The Boys and Girls Varsity Track teams participated in the Area track meet last week.  The girls received 1st place and the boys placed 3rd.  The girls qualified for Regionals in 8 events and the boys qualified in 7 events.  Regionals will be held May 1st and 2nd in Whitehouse.  Congratulations to these teams!!

The Regional Tennis Tournament was held on April 20 & 21 at TJC.  Tucker Bass and Nic Ayers represented DHS and won their first round.  They lost in the second after a hard fought battle.  Congratulations to these two boys for making it this far.

The Floriculture team State Meet will be May 1st at Sam Houston State.  The Meats Evaluation team State Meet will be May 2nd at College Station.

Teacher of the Month

Kendra Dunn



Kendra Dunn came to Daingerfield High School in 2005 as a first year teacher to teach Biology. She has grown to be an intricate part of the faculty who now teaches Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Research Design. She also serves as Science Department Head, sponsor for the Student Council, and head barista for the DHS Coffee Bar. Mrs. Dunn is passionate about teaching and is also a devoted wife to Matt Dunn, DHS Assistant Principal, and mother of two beautiful girls, Analeigh and Eastyn. Congratulations Mrs. Dunn.
Student of the Month

Denver Mims


Denver is a sophomore at Daingerfield High School and the daughter of Edwin and Shawnda Mims. She attends Shady Grove Baptist Church in Cason and is also very active at school where she serves as a member of the National Honor Society. Being a gifted athlete Denver is a member of the DHS volleyball, softball, and track teams. Her plans are to attend Texas Women’s University and become a dentist. Congratulations Denver Mims.
Congratulations to the Daingerfield Tiger Band for a great Season.  They received all One's (Superior ratings) at the UIL marching contest in the Fall.  They also received all One's (Superior ratings) in the Sight Reading contest and 2 Two's (Excellent rating) and 1 One (Superior rating) at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading contest this past week in New Boston.   They have proven time and again that hard work and determination pay off.  Way to go Tigers!!

The TSI test will be offered every Monday from now on.  You can sign up in the Counselor’s office.  The cost of each test is $6 and you pay on the day of the test.  This test can also be taken on the NTCC campus at any time for the same price.

Juniors & Seniors interested in taking the ACT or SAT college placement test, come by the Counselor’s office to get information about test dates and to see if you qualify for a Fee Waiver#
